(VOVworld) – Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong visited Duc Hoa Dong commune, Long An province, on Tuesday. He praised local efforts to develop industries and services as a way to boost economic restructuring and improve people’s living conditions: “Duc Hoa district and Duc Hoa Dong commune are evidence of the province’s industrialization and modernization, which has resulted in impressive growth over the last 5 years.”

Mr. Trong urged Duc Hoa district to map out plans to protect the environment, build homes for workers, schools, and clinics, and ensure social security and order.
During a meeting with provincial leaders the same day, Mr. Trong called for continued party building and implementation of the movement to follow President Ho Chi Minh's moral example as well as thorough preparations for National Assembly and People's Council elections.
He also visited and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mother and hero of the armed forces Nguyen Thi Ba, who turns 100 years old this year.
