Party leader watches military parade marking 80 years of Victory over Fascism in Kazakhstan

(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly attended a military parade marking the 80th anniversary of Victory over Fascism on Wednesday at Independence Square in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presided over the parade, the biggest event in Kazakhstan celebrating the 80th Victory Day. The parade involved more than 4,000 troops, 200 military technical vehicles, and 66 aircraft and helicopters.

On Wednesday morning, the General Secretary received leaders of several corporations and investment funds in Kazakhstan. Meeting with the Chairman of Cotteccons Construction Joint Stock Company, Mr. Lam affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam welcome the Group to continue studying and expanding investment cooperation in the fields of construction and rare earth minerals in Kazakhstan on the principle of ensuring investment efficiency and harmonizing interests among related parties.

For his part, Kusto Bolat Dulsenov expressed his hope that Vietnam would create conditions for the Group to invest in key projects in Vietnam and expand cooperation to many fields that both sides have needs.

Receiving the General Director of the National Investment Fund of Kazakhstan, the General Secretary said he hopes that the Fund would promote its advantages, form, and develop value chains, connect the two countries with the global market, promoting investment and business cooperation.

Samruk-Kazyna Nurlan Zhakupov emphasized that the Fund will send a working delegation to visit and work with relevant agencies of Vietnam to explore investment in high-speed railway projects, aviation, telecommunications, and minerals.

Also Wednesday, Party General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly visited the Ethnic Cultural Village (Etno-Aul), a unique destination in Kazakhstan.
