Plane crashes in Iran

(VOVworld) – A plane crashed on the outskirts of Tehran Sunday morning, killing at least 38 passengers.

An Antonov An-140 belonging to Iran’s Sepahan Airlines crashed after taking off from Tehran Mehrabad Airport. Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development Ahmad Majidi said the plane was carrying 40 passengers and 8 crew members. 10 people survived and are being treated at a hospital. Iran's Civil Aviation Organization said the pilot reported technical problems 4 minutes after take off. He managed to turn around but the plane crashed. The black box has not yet been found.
