PM arrives in Russia for expanded BRICS Summit

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam arrived in Kazan city of Russia on Wednesday, beginning his two-day trip to attend the expanded BRICS Summit.

Welcoming PM Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation at the airport were the Prime Minister of Tatarstan, the First Deputy Mayor of Kazan, and Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi, among others.

This is the first time a head of the Vietnamese Government has attended the BRICS Summit, and also the first working trip to Russia by PM Chinh.

During the trip, Prime Minister Chinh will attend and deliver remarks at the Plenary Session of the expanded BRICS Summit and other sessions. He will meet bilaterally with senior leaders of the host country Russia and other countries and international organizations.

He will also meet with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Russia and received a number of Russian businesses to promote economic cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.
