Addressing review meeting of the sector in Hanoi on Wednesday, Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to continue innovating its thinking, act resolutely, and contribute to building a prosperous agricultural sector, a wealthy farming workforce, a civilized and modern rural landscape, and a sustainable development environment.

In 2025, the sector's 2025 GDP grew 3.7-3.92%; agricultural, forestry, and fisheries export turnover was estimated at 70 billion USD; trade surplus exceeded 20 billion USD; and nearly 80% of communes met the new rural area standards.
