PM Chinh calls for stronger bilateral cooperation with Finland
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged Vietnam and Finland to explore the establishment of new mechanisms to step up cooperation in sci-tech, innovation and vocational education.

At a reception for Arto Olavi Satonen, Minister for Employment from the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment in Hanoi on Monday, Mr. Chinh called on Finland to venture into green transition, digital transformation, renewable energy, and green and circular economies.
He stressed the need to focus on harnessing technology transfer, building tech infrastructure, and upskilling for high-tech industries to keep pace with the evolving job market, according to the Vietnamese government leader.
Mr. Chinh asked Finland to continue granting scholarships for Vietnamese students, adding that the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment should discuss ways to send Vietnamese workers to Finland.
PM Chinh also suggested the two sides strengthen trade and investment promotion, fully tap trade agreements, increase bilateral trade turnover to match the two countries’ potential, and promote cultural and tourism cooperation.
He expressed his hope that Finland will further create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live, study and work in Finland.
