Vietnam, Russia agree on breakthrough measures to deepen partnership
(VOVWORLD) - The Prime Ministers of Vietnam and Russia have agreed to strengthen dialogue, consolidate political trust, and promote exchanges and visits at all levels and across multiple channels, laying a solid foundation for comprehensive bilateral cooperation, particularly in economics, investment, energy, education, tourism, among others.

During talks in Hanoi on Tuesday, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustini emphasized the need to adopt breakthrough solutions to boost bilateral trade including leveraging the Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement and opening markets for each other's goods.
They underscored the importance of cooperation in science and technology and expressed a shared desire to advance the establishment of a nuclear science and technology research center in Vietnam. The leaders recognized the importance of collaboration in education and training, including the teaching of Vietnamese in Russia and Russian in Vietnam.
They exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual interest and agreed to maintain close coordination and mutual support in multilateral forums.
Following the talks, the two Prime Ministers signed a joint statement on the outcomes of the Russian Prime Minister's official visit to Vietnam. They also witnessed the signing of several cooperation agreements in science, information and communication, and culture.
