PM expects more cooperation with Russia’s atomic energy corporation

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said he hopes that the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) will cooperate and support Vietnam not only in developing nuclear power but also nuclear science and technology for peaceful purposes.

PM Chinh received visiting Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev in Hanoi on Monday.

Likhachev reiterated Rosatom’s willingness to cooperate and help Vietnam build nuclear power plants; build new, modern nuclear centers; transfer technology; localize nuclear products; develop nuclear science and industry with a hundreds-of-years vision; and use nuclear energy for socio-economic development purposes as mentioned by the Prime Minister.
