The Prime Minister noted that the two-tier local government model has largely achieved its set objectives, marking a shift from an “administrative” mindset to one focused on serving the people.
Mr. Chinh urged Can Tho to promote high technology and digital transformation as key drivers for developing new value chains, and to accelerate major transport projects, including the North-South Expressway section linking Can Tho and Ca Mau, the Ho Chi Minh City-Can Tho railway, the Chau Doc-Can Tho-Soc Trang Expressway, and the western ring road.
He particularly emphasized completing the Can Tho Oncology Hospital by 2026.
