PM Nguyen Tan Dung inspects the building of missile boat 12418

(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Saturday held a working session with Ba Son Corporation and inspected the building of the missile boat 12418 for Vietnam People’s Navy. This is one of the advanced missile boats designed by Russia's Almaz Institute. In his address, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung praised officers, soldiers and engineers of Ba Son Corporation for their contributions to building the missile boat 12418 saying that it proves the growth of Vietnam’s defense industry in self-building advanced warships and missile boats. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said:“We need to be strong in terms of politics, economics and defense in order to maintain peace and stability. To this end, we have to master the defense industry. In addition to investing in socio-economic development, the government will focus on investing in national defense. We will buy new facilities and at the same time investing in defense industry in order to be able to repair, upgrade and ensure the durability of arms equipment”.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of improving and modernizing the army. He asked the General Department of Defense Industry and Ba Son Corporation to improve their sense of responsibilities and professionalism in order to fulfill their assigned tasks.
