Working with key leaders of Ninh Thuan province on performance in 2021 and the first quarter of 2022 and direction for the whole year, Prime Minister Chinh asked Ninh Thuan to be more mindful of the potentials and opportunities in the general development of the region and the whole country in order to adopt appropriate programs, plans and solutions.

Ninh Thuan has an important position as it is located along the South Central Coast and serves as the gateway to the Southeast region, the Prime Minister said, urging the province to focus on renewable energy, high-class tourism, high-tech agriculture coupled with processing industry, urban economy, and marine economy. He called for preserving and promoting cultural values of ethnic groups, improving living standards of the people, and ensuring national defense and security.

Ninh Thuan needs to focus on building socio-economic infrastructure, strengthen inter-provincial and regional linkages, train and improve the quality of human resources, promote administrative reform, improve business investment environment, and effectively implement the digital transformation program, he said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that economic development must be in harmony with the development of culture, education, health care, environment, security and defense without sacrificing justice and social progress for mere economic growth.
