During a working session with the Ministry of National Defense in Hanoi on Thursday, President Luong Cuong said the Army’s organizational structure has become fundamentally streamlined, compact, and strong, ensuring coordination and balance across its components and forces.

The work was completed one year ahead of schedule, surpassing the initial targets outlined in Party Resolution 05 on the organization of the Vietnam People’s Army in the 2021-2030 period and beyond.

The President asked the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to study and review the country’s evolving landscape amid rapid development and to prepare for the upcoming Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress. Additionally, the Army must analyze global developments and propose suitable approaches for the continued implementation of Resolution 05.

President Luong Cuong stressed that the military must set an example in implementing the directives of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee, particularly in executing Resolution 18 on building a streamlined, strong, efficient, and effective political system while ensuring the Party’s absolute and direct leadership in all aspects of the Vietnam People’s Army.
