Regarding the Party Central Committee’s resolution on combating corruption, the President appreciated Ho Chi Minh City for quickly and strictly handling corruption cases to gain voters’ trust. "We have issued sufficient laws. What we lack is the community’s combined effort to detect and combat corruption."

President Sang said that citizen receptions and the resolution of complaints and petitions should be based on law. The City’s National Assembly deputies are willing to listen to people’s complaints and supervise functional agencies in dealing with the issues.

He affirmed that education reform was a big area. Besides these achievements, there are other pending issues. The Party Central Committee’s resolution on fundamentally and comprehensively reforming education has shown the Party’s resolute determination to improve the quality of the education sector.

Regarding slow economic growth, Mr. Sang said over the past 2 years with various difficulties, the target of fast economic growth has been adjusted towards sustainable growth.
