(VOVworld) – A Vietnamese delegation led by President Truong Tan Sang are heading to the 20th Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC 20) Summit in Vladivostok, Russia, and other activities in the Far East region. Their attendance at APEC 20 implements the 6^th National Party Congress’s foreign policy of active international integration and elevating Vietnam’s importance in the Asia-Pacific region. The attendance’s purpose is also to promote Vietnam’s role in contributing to APEC cooperation and its agenda. To deepen Vietnam’s ties with other APEC members, Vietnam will continue to promote the multi-faceted partnerships in politics, trade, and investment.

Sang met with Vietnam’s Consul General and other overseas Vietnamese working or studying in Vladivostok before delivering an address at the 2012 (APEC) CEO Summit.
