(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang has applauded Vietnamese experts’ great contributions to Cambodia’s revolution.

He addressed a ceremony in Hanoi on Wednesday: “We are grateful for the sacrifices made by our former experts. Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts braved hardship to help the Cambodian revolution in its national protection, restoration, and development. These glorious exploits and merits have been acknowledged and respected by the Party, State, and People of Vietnam.”

The Cambodian revolutionary force in collaboration with Vietnam’s volunteer troops overthrew the  genocidal Polpot regime and opened a new era of recover and development for the Cambodian people on June 7, 1979. Following the liberation of Cambodia, Vietnam continued to help the Cambodians rebuild their country from the ashes.
