President Trump accepts new administration for first time
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump on Thursday, for the first time, acknowledged his election defeat and accepted the new administration, which will be inaugurated on January 20.

Mr. Trump said in a video posted on Twitter that he has deployed the National Guard to protect the Capitol. He criticized Wednesday’s violence, saying the rioters do not represent the US and will be punished. Trump said he will focus on ensuring a “smooth, orderly, and seamless” transition of power, adding that this moment calls for healing and reconciliation.
