(VOVworld)- President Truong Tan Sang visited Artillery Brigade 75 in Dong Nai on Monday. In his address, President Sang urged officers and soldiers to continue studying and training to fulfil their tasks of defending the nation. Sang said:“As taught by our ancestors, when in peace, we should think of possible difficult times. We are implementing a strategy on national construction and defence. To fulfill this task in peace time, each officer and soldier should foster their professionalism to be ready for combat and wining to deserve the title of heroic brigade 75”.

Artillery Brigade 75 was set up in 1960. During the anti-US resistance war, the Brigade participated in several major battles and managed to control Bien Hoa and Tan Son Nhat airport during the Ho Chi Minh campaign.

On the same day, President Sang visited the Gia Dinh Regiment in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City. In his address, Sang highlighted the 55-year heroic tradition of the Regiment. He expressed his belief that soldiers of the regiment would continue to promote their brave spirit in peace time to serve national construction and defense.
