In his remarks, President Luong Cuong recalled that on September 2, 1945, at historic Ba Dinh square, President Ho Chi Minh proclaimed before the nation and the world the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, ushering in a new era of independence, freedom, and happiness for the Vietnamese people.
The Vietnamese President stressed that with burning aspirations to build a prosperous nation, combined with wisdom and resilience, the Vietnamese people are confident in their bright future and that Vietnam will continue to conquer new heights, advance reform, embrace proactive integration, and spread the spirit of reconciliation, solidarity, and international cooperation.
President Luong Cuong said: “Vietnam is entering a new era of development with renewed determination and spirit, so that our people may enjoy prosperity, freedom and happiness. We will continue to strengthen friendship and cooperation with countries and partners worldwide, making active contributions to global politics, the world economy, and human civilization. President Ho Chi Minh once said: “The strength, greatness, and perseverance of the Vietnamese people lies in our unity and the support of the world’s peoples. International solidarity is of immense significance to us. Following the teaching, Vietnam will continue to join hands with international friends to build a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world."
