Vietnam always bears in mind and remains grateful for the solidarity and fraternal support extended by the Cuban people to the Vietnamese people during their struggle for national liberation and reunification in the past as well as during the ongoing process of national construction and protection, he said.

The Party chief affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to consolidating and nurturing the exemplary, special relationship, founded by President Ho Chi Minh and Leader Fidel Castro, and cultivated by generations of leaders and people of both countries. 

In his response, the Cuban leader affirmed that the mutual political trust and affection between the two countries have created favorable conditions for cooperation in all fields. He emphasized that in 2025, the two sides exchanged high-level visits between the two Parties, States and National Assemblies, focusing on consolidating the excellent political relationship and bringing that strength to a deeper and more effective comprehensive cooperation.
