Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung

(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrived in Myanmar on Tuesday to attend the 25^th ASEAN Summit and related meetings at the invitation of Myanmar’s President Thein Sein. He was received at Nay Pyi Taw International Airport by Myanmar government officials, Myanmar’s ambassador to Vietnam, Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Vinh, Vietnamese ambassador to Myanmar Pham Thanh Dung, and head of the Vietnamese delegation to ASEAN ambassador Vu Dang Dung. Prime Minister Dung’s attendance is aimed at enhancing Vietnam’s responsibility and role in ASEAN and consolidating ASEAN unity and solidarity towards building an ASEAN Community by 2015. During his Myanmar visit, Prime Minister Dung will hold a number of bilateral meetings with leaders of other APEC countries.
