Prime Minister meets with more Indian corporations

(VOVWORLD) -During a State visit to India, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh continued to work with leaders of India's major corporations in New Delhi, on Wednesday.

At a meeting with leaders of the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) of India, the Prime Minister heard introduction to industrial corridors and the role of these corridors in socio-economic development, industrialization and modernization of India. This is India's pioneering initiative to develop new industrial cities, smart cities, integrate next generation technology, especially the semiconductor industry, revolutionize manufacturing and industry to strengthen India's profile in the global value chain, making the country a global production center and a manufacturing powerhouse. This pillar initiative is part of India's ambition to develop a digital economy worth 1 trillion USD by 2026.

Considering Industrial Corridor a good model that Vietnam can learn from, PM Chinh requested Vietnamese ministries, agencies and localities to coordinate closely with the Indian Ministry of Industry and Trade and NICDC to establish a working group for experience exchange in the near future.

The same day, Prime Minister Chinh met Arun Kumar Singh, Chairman of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC). As oil and gas cooperation is one of the pillars of the two countries' relationship, the Prime Minister proposed that the Group continue to expand investment in oil, gas, and renewable energy in Vietnam.

Receiving Director Shikhar Malhotra and senior members of HCLTech, the Prime Minister welcomed the Group's plan to cooperate, support and transfer technology with Vietnam.

He asked HCLTech Group to continue to invest in digital infrastructure, share smart management experiences, transfer technology, train high-quality human resources, especially in digital transformation, knowledge economy, digital economy, innovation, semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing.
