Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh meets Indian President Droupadi Murmu

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Indian President Droupadi Murmu at the Presidential Palace in New Delhi on Thursday during his State visit to India.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged President Droupadi Murmu to support for the Vietnam-India relationship, particularly defense cooperation, and implement preferential credit packages, training, and capacity building for Vietnam to double two-way trade, investment, and tourism by 2030.

Chinh proposed increasing the frequency of direct flights to foster exchanges between the peoples and localities of both countries.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed President To Lam's regards and extended an invitation for President Droupadi Murmu to visit Vietnam in the near future.
President Droupadi Murmu praised the outcomes of the talks between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly the adoption of the Joint Statement on Enhancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Deepening Cooperation Areas based on the "Five More" framework.
The Indian President expressed confidence that the documents signed on this occasion would be actively implemented by both sides in the near future.
