Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh meets Vietnamese community in Singapore

(VOVWORLD) -Shortly after arriving at Changi Airport on Wednesday, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife had a meeting with Embassy staff and the Vietnamese community in Singapore.

Prime Minister Chinh informed the expatriates about activities within the framework of his visit to Singapore, believing that the visit outcome will create a new impetus for stronger, deeper, more substantive and effective cooperation between two countries and peoples.

The Prime Minister added that during his talks and meetings with senior leaders of Singapore, he will ask the Singapore Government to continue creating favorable conditions for the 10,000 Vietnamese community to live, study, and work, and actively integrate into the host society.

Applauding the integration and development efforts of  the Vietnamese community, Prime Minister Chinh affirmed that the Party and State always consider the overseas Vietnamese, including those in Singapore, an integral part of the great national unity bloc and one of the driving forces and sources of national strength.

The Prime Minister called on overseas Vietnamese continue to saty united and help each other overcome difficulties, uphold national pride, active integration, law observance and contribution to local development, always look towards the homeland and be a bridge of friendship between Vietnam and Singapore.
