Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend 8th Greater Mekong Sub-region Summit in China

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his entourage leave Hanoi on Tuesday morning for the 8th Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) Summit in China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

During his trip from November 5-8, he will attend the 10th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, and the 11th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Cooperation Summit. These are the first in-person high-level activities of the GMS, ACMECS and CLMV mechanisms since 2018.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is scheduled to deliver keynote speeches at the 8th GMS Summit, the 10th ACMECS Summit, and the 11th CLMV Summit, hold bilateral meetings with a number of important partners and businesses, participate in activities to promote Vietnamese tourism, and visit a number of economic and logistic facilities in Kunming and Chongqing.
