Prime Minister Phuc praised Kritenbrink’s contributions to enhancing Vietnam-US relations when he worked as Senior Director for Asian Affairs at the US National Security Council before being appointed Ambassador. Mr. Phuc suggested the two sides promote high-ranking delegation exchanges and urge the US government to resolve issues proposed by Vietnam during the development process of bilateral cooperative relations.

Ambassador Kritenbrink said Vietnam is one of the US’s most important partners. He said he hopes both sides will tackle pending problems and seize economic and trade opportunities.
