Putin approves new national security strategy
(VOVWORLD) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved a revised version of Russia’s national security strategy, according to the decree published on the Kremlin’s website on Saturday.

The new strategy priorities on protecting the people and the traditional values of Russia, and good exploitation of natural resources. The decree stressed the increasing importance of national defense. It says Russia needs to calculate the world’s long-tern trend and effectively use its competitive advantages to protect Russia from domestic and foreign threats, including unfriendly actions from other countries. The decree said the construction of NATO’s military infrastructure near Russia’s border and NATO’s increasing intelligence activities are threat to Russia.
