(VOVWORLD) - Russian President Vladimir Putin remains interested in resolving the conflict in Ukraine through negotiations and hopes to continue cooperating with the United States, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday.

According to Mr. Peskov, both President Putin and US President Donald Trump are open to bringing the entire Ukrainian issue to a peaceful conclusion.
Russia is counting on the US and President Trump personally to make efforts to help in this matter, he added.
