Russia vows to respond appropriately to new EU sanctions

(VOVWORLD) - Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Friday that Russia will respond with harsh measures to new EU sanctions, adding that it will retaliate if the EU seizes its frozen assets.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas on Friday said on X that the EU has finalized its 19th sanctions package against Russia.
At the same time, the EU extended sanctions for another six months against over 2,500 Russian individuals and entities related to the conflict in Ukraine.
