Qatar's Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump and senior US officials, including Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The two sides are expected to discuss a ceasefire and hostage exchanges in Gaza, Israel's recent strike in Qatar, and a new defense agreement.

As a key US ally in the Gulf, Qatar plays a key role in brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and in planning for Gaza’s post-conflict reconstruction.
