Quang Nam Heritage Festival to promote local culture
(VOVWORLD) - The 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival will opens on June 9 in Tam Thanh beach, Quang Nam province. The organizing board told a press conference Tuesday that the 9-day festival will be held at heritage sites, craft villages, historical places, and scenic spots in the province.

Le Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee and head of the organizing board, said: “Quang Nam province is a melting-pot of natural and cultural heritages, including several UNESCO–recognized heritages: Hoi An Ancient Town, the My Son Cham Towers, and the Cu Lao Cham world biosphere reserve. To promote our global heritages and local cultural uniqueness, Quang Nam province hosted the first annual Heritage Festival in 2003. The festival, which has become famous nationwide for its fantastic cultural activities, promotes the image of Quang Nam and Vietnam to domestic and foreign tourists.”
The festival will feature an International Choir Competition, an International Food Festival, a Vietnamese Silk and Brocade products exhibition, a Kite Festival, a Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival, and a Kayak Open Tournament. There will be forums on tourism and business promotion in the Central Coast and Central Highlands regions.
