(VOVWORLD) - Quang Ninh province welcomed nearly 5.7 million visitors in the first quarter of 2025, a 6% increase compared to the same period last year, and earned an estimated total revenue of over 514 million USD.

Since the beginning of the year, cultural and spiritual tourism sites, as well as island and marine tourism destinations, have remained the province’s top attractions.
In the second quarter, Quang Ninh plans to organize around 20 tourism stimulus activities. Notably, during the April 30-May 1 holiday, major events will be held, including Ha Long Carnival, Bach Dang traditional festival, Quang Ninh Ethnic Cultural Festival, beer and squid cake fairs, and a paragliding festival.
Nguyen Viet Dung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province, said, "In April, we will work with travel agencies from Ho Chi Minh City and partners serving European, Indian, Japanese, and South Korean tourists. Our goal is to connect Quang Ninh businesses with tour operators, as this segment has the potential to drive a breakthrough in the province’s tourism development."
