Red Journey in Danang draws 1,500 blood donors
(VOVWORLD) - 1,500 residents of Danang City donated 1,000 blood units on Sunday in response to the Red Journey, a national blood donation campaign.

The Danang Committee for Volunteer Blood Donation Mobilization took this occasion to honor 265 excellent individual and organizational blood donors and those who are active in communications activities.
Nguyen Ut, the Committee’s Vice Head and Director of the Danang municipal Department of Health, said: “Danang City is the pioneer of Vietnam’s blood donation drive. Local blood donation activities were enthusiastically responded by individuals, organizations, and businesses, helping to save tens of millions of patients in not only Danang City but also the central and Central Highlands region. We will continue our communications work to involve more donors.”
Danang City is one of 39 localities taking part in the 2019 Red Journey, which targets to collect 60,000 blood units.
