(VOVWORLD) - AEAN Senior Leaders met representatives of the Asean Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), ASEAN Youth, and the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) during the 34th ASEAN Summit in Thailand on Saturday.

At the ASEAN-AIPA meeting, delegates agreed to promote cooperation in climate change response, anti-terrorism, gender equality, Industry 4.0, maritime safety and the protection of cultural heritages.
ASEAN leaders listened to opinions by young delegates focusing on high-quality education, environmental protection and inclusive growth, business start-up opportunities and vocational training.
ASEAN leaders acknowledged recommendations by the ASEAN-BAC delegates on capacity building for small and medium sized enterprises, trade facilitation, smart city development, support young and female entrepreneurs.
During the meetings, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh called for more contributions by the AIPA, ASEAN BAC and ASEAN Youth to boost unity, understanding, and cooperation towards a sustainable ASEAN community.
