Remain of Vietnamese crew member who died in Red Sea repatriated

(VOVWORLD) -The body of Dang Duy Kien, a Vietnamese crew member killed in an attack by the Houthis on March 6 in the Red Sea, was brought back to Vietnam by the authorities and his family on Sunday evening.

As reported, the cargo ship True Confidence, flying the flag of Barbados, was attacked by Houthi forces in Yemen on March 6 in the Red Sea area off Yemen's Aden port. Onboard were 20 people, including 15 Filipinos, four Vietnamese and one Indian. The attack left three dead: two Filipinos and one Vietnamese.

Three other Vietnamese crew members, Pham Van Thanh (from Hai Phong), Nguyen Van Tao (from Hai Duong) and Phung Van An (from Nam Dinh), who escaped when the cargo ship was attacked, returned home safely on March 14 evening.
