Running until January 1, 2026, the festival's highlight is a drone light show combined with a low-altitude fireworks display. 

“The Can Tho River Culture Festival 2025, held for the first time in the city, aims to introduce and promote the unique river culture of the Mekong Delta, including Can Tho, to domestic and international visitors, while raising community awareness of environmental protection and river ecosystem preservation toward sustainable tourism development,” Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Deputy Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee, said at the opening ceremony.

The festival includes a photo exhibition showcasing riverine life in the Mekong Delta past and present, street acoustic music performances, floating flower lantern releases on the river, and a sailing race on the Hau River.

There are also programs introducing One Commune One Product (OCOP) items, tourism offerings, and local cuisine.
