(VOVworld) – Moscow said on Saturday that the aid convoy to Ukraine has returned to Russia with empty trucks and rejected Ukraine’s accusation that these trucks brought cargo home.

Russia’s Emergency Ministry spokesman Alexander Drobyshevsky said such allegations are puzzling because all vehicles were checked by border guards and customs officers from both Ukraine and Russia. Drobyshevsky added Western media also had an opportunity to look into the trucks and see for themselves that they were empty on the way back.
Earlier on the day, Andrei Lysenko, spokesman for Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, told a press conference that the country's border guards and customs staff were not allowed to inspect the convoy. He said the vehicles were carrying facilities of an Ukrainian corporation that produces modernized Pantsir radar.
