Russia opens investigation into Syria plane crash
(VOVWORLD) - The Russian Defense Ministry says it has established a committee to investigate the recent crash of a Russian plane in Syria.

The Ministry said the incident was not an attack and may have resulted from technical mistakes.
A Russian military transport plane crashed while landing at Syria’s Hmeymim airport on Tuesday, killing all 39 people on board. Russian President Vladimir Putin has delivered condolences to the victims’ families.
