He made the statement in a video addressing the participants of the 11th international meeting of high-level representatives in charge of security issues on Wednesday on the outskirts of Moscow.

Putin stressed the need to strengthen stability around the world, build a single and indivisible security, and create solutions that lead to economic, technological and social progress. Of primary importance is coordinating the efforts of all countries and basing those efforts on the principles of mutual respect, partnership, and trust, he said.

The President reaffirmed that Russia stands ready to establish close relations with all countries that have an interest in countering shared threats and meeting the challenges facing humanity. He appreciated the fact that Russia has many partners in different regions and on different continents and historically strong, friendly, and trust-based ties with countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America and said Russia will work to fortify them any way it can.

The two-day meeting began Tuesday, attended 90 delegations from countries and international organizations. The main topic was ensuring national, regional, and global security.
