According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MARD), the typhoon damaged or unroofed more than 100,000 houses, flooded and destroyed nearly 6,000 hectares of rice and crops; eroded nearly 6,500 meters of embankments, riverbanks, and sea dikes; and caused losses to 1,338 hectares of aquaculture. Many transportation routes in central provinces were flooded and cut off. Widespread power outages have been reported in Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, and Thanh Hoa provinces. Local authorities are continuing inspections and taking immediate measures to address the damage.

In Quang Tri province, right after the storm dissipated, local police forces, soldiers, authorities, and residents began clearing fallen trees, assisting households in repairing homes, and focusing on search and rescue efforts, while also implementing measures to protect agricultural and aquaculture production.

Quang Tri’s functional agencies, in coordination with Military Region 4, launched search operations for nine fishermen missing from two boats that sank on Sunday night.

Colonel Ngo Nam Cuong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, said maximum manpower and resources have been mobilized to expand search operations: “The Military Command of Region 4 is coordinating with Quang Tri province to carrying out comprehensive and urgent measures. We are mobilizing forces and means to quickly locate the sunken boats and search for the missing fishermen within a radius of 15–20 km along the coast. We have also directed other forces, including border guard units and local fishing vessels to expand the search area at sea.”
