Deputy Le Thanh Van of Ca Mau province proposed the government to implement short-term programs to respond to current economic difficulties, focusing on fiscal and monetary policies.

Deputy Dinh Ngoc Minh, a full-time member of the National Assembly’s Economic Committee, said that the Government should concentrate on just one or two solutions to recover the economy. He recommended that the NA should issue a resolution to help businesses, covering tax policies and the business environment.

Deputy Duong Khac Mai for Dak Nong province said that the disbursement of public investment capital is also a key solution. 

“The government should speed up the disbursement of public investment projects and remove bottlenecks for businesses, first focusing on improving the institution,” said Mai.

Regarding the proposal to reduce the value-added tax by2%, the deputies recommended to extend the enforcement date and the beneficiaries of the tax cut. Truong Xuan Cu, a deputy representing Hanoi, said: "It’s necessary to expand the beneficiaries of the 2% tax cut to stimulate consumption. It also shows that Vietnam's policy is fair in helping all businesses to compete and develop.”
