Syria discusses ways to end crisis

UN, Arab League peace envoy Lakhdar Brahimi discussed with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus on Monday possible solutions to the crisis in Syria. Brahimi has not detailed any plan but said he considers Syria’s crisis very alarming. He also strongly denied a rumor that President Al-Assad did not want to meet with him and tried to cancel the meeting. Brahimi expressed the hope that both sides will soon reach an agreement to end the bloody conflict that has lasted for 21 months.
