In Aleppo, the Syrian army captured the strategic town of Kafin, becoming five km from Tal Rifat town, which is the gate to Azaz city, a stronghold of the rebels on the Syrian-Turkish borders. The capture of Kafin is the latest in a series of sweeping advance the Syrian army has been achieving with the help of the Russian air force and the fighters of the Lebanese Hezbollah group in Aleppo and Latakia.

The army is moving toward the town of Kansabbah, one of the last important strongholds of the rebels in Latakia, near northern Turkey.
