Team Vietnam clinch 3 gold medals at Asian karate championship
(VOVWORLD) -Four athletes Dinh Thi Huong, Hoang Thi My Tam, Nguyen Thi Ngoan and Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly defeated Kazakhstan in the women's team kumite final, bringing home the gold medal for Vietnamese karate on Sunday in Uzbekistan.

Earlier, Hoang Thi My Tam won the gold medal in the women's kumite 55 kg, and the women's kata team secure the top prize. Nguyen Ngoc Tram also won a bronze medal in individual kata.
With this remarkable achievement (3 gold medals and 1 bronze medal), the Vietnamese karate team ranked third, after Kazakhstan and Japan, in the 2025 Asian Karate Championship, running from May 23 to May 25 in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent.
