In the statement, released by the UK’s Foreign Office, the ten countries warned that, with winter approaching, people in Gaza are facing harsh conditions due to heavy rain and falling temperatures.
1.3 million people in Gaza urgently need shelter, and more than half of their health facilities are only partially operational and face severe shortages of medical equipment and supplies.
The statement stressed the need to ensure the continued operation of international NGOs in Gaza, and called for the UN and its partners to be allowed to continue their humanitarian work by lifting unreasonable restrictions on medical equipment and shelter supplies.
