Mayors, ambassadors and diplomats from18 capital cities worldwide

(VOVword)-The Bangkok Sister Cities Week 2012 with the theme “Urban Rehabilitation and Renew” was opened at Benjasiri Park, Thailand yesterday/ on Thursday.  The Week aims to promote cooperation, exchange of views and experiences on city’s rehabilitation and to strengthen closer relationship between Bangkok people and its sister cities. After the opening ceremony, cities’ mayors, ambassadors and diplomats representatives of 18 capital cities from 13 countries worldwide including Hanoi visited cultural corners. Vietnam's corner shows national flag, and bamboo, and conical hats, leaflets about the famous tourist destinations of Vietnam such as Thang Long Citadel, Phu Quoc Island, Con Dao Island…Visiting Vietnamese pavilion, Bangkok city’s Mayor Sukhumbhand Paribatra said he loves Vietnam for its peaceful, and beautiful scenery, friendly people, and delicious dishes.Sukhumbhand Paribatra said that:"I have visited Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City since 1995, when Vietnam began opening its doors to the world.  These two cities are developing and many hotels being built. I visited Hanoi in March when the weather was very nice. I noticed that Hanoians are very kind-hearted. I would like to visit Hanoi again to witness the changing of this city."Since Hanoi capital twinned with Bangkok, Thailand in 2004, city leaders have regularly exchanged visits.
