The event featured cultural and sports exchanges, traditional folk games from the two countries, as well as exhibitions showcasing Vietnamese and American culture, cuisine, and key milestones in bilateral diplomatic relations.
"People-to-people exchanges will continue to play a vital role in building a positive social foundation that fosters and advances the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace, Cooperation, and Sustainable Development between Vietnam and the US. The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations is honored to contribute actively to this meaningful process," said Mr. Phan Anh Son, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper said the Friendship Exchange reflects the vital importance of people-to-people diplomacy, which serves as the cornerstone of Vietnam-US relations.
He said the partnership between the two nations is guided by a shared core belief that the US supports a strong, independent, prosperous, and resilient Vietnam and both countries respect each other’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence, and political system.
