Top leader underlines defense policy of relying on people, “people are the root"

At a working session with the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission in Hanoi on Wednesday, the top leader applauded their achievements. Affirming the Army’s major role in maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for national construction and development, To Lam said the military must be nurtured to be stronger in every aspect.
He requested that the entire army well implement the policy of combining defense with economy, build a team of cadres and party members with good qualities to meet requirements in the new situation, and improve the quality of political education, ideology, information and communications.
