(VOVWORLD) - A full rehearsal, involving more than 16,000 troops, plus civilian groups, was held for the second time on Sunday evening at Ba Dinh square, Hanoi.

The event in preparation for the National Day parade included soldiers from Russia, Laos, and Cambodia.Major Nguyen Thi Mui said: “Marching at Ba Dinh square, I felt very proudas if I had been given extra strength. Passing the square and the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, our faces beamed with happiness and pride.”
On the streets, crowds of people watched the passing troops with excitement. Red flags with yellow stars fluttered among the cheering spectators. The rehearsal aroused in people’s hearts strong emotions of trust and pride in the people's armed forces and the solidarity of the Vietnamese people.
“This is the second parade rehearsal and this is the second time I’ve come to watch. I left early in the morning to get a seat. I’m very moved. The parade teams and the tank formations are very amazing.”
“This is a heroic atmosphere. I want to see the parade many more times, especially on National Day September 2.”
Two more rehearsals will be held at Ba Dinh Square at 8 p.m. on Wednesday and at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday.
