(VOVWORLD) - The race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump is tied, according to new NBC poll results released Sunday.

The poll showed Trump in a "dead heat" with Harris, with each candidate having 48% support among registered voters. Trump has gained 4 points since NBC's September poll, and Harris has lost 1 point.
About 4% of respondents said they are undecided or unwilling to vote for either candidate, down from 7% in September. 10% said they might change their mind before Election Day, November 5.
Harris has strong backing from black voters – 84% support to Trump’s 11%. Among voters aged 18 to 34, Harris leads 58% to 37%. Harris is also ahead with white voters who have college degrees – 55% to Trump's 41%. However, Trump dominates among rural voters, 72% to 23%, and has an edge with white voters without college degrees.
