Trump proposes huge budget cuts
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump on Tuesday unveiled first federal budget proposal, which includes 3.6 trillion USD in cuts over 10 years to balance the federal budget, despite defense spending rising sharply.

Trump proposed a 50 billion USD increase for the Pentagon, but a 1 trillion USD cut in the budgets of the State Department, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and various social welfare programs.In addition to aggressive budget cuts, Trump proposed selling half of the oil in the US’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR).
